Managing your time is often difficult when you have a busy work, social and personal life. It is important to manage your time effectively as to not neglect important tasks in your life and add unhealthy, unnecessary stress.

Know your priorities – The most important or urgent tasks should come first. Try to complete the most urgent tasks first and leave the ones that can wait for later on.

Plan ahead – Planning your tasks will help you organize your thoughts and agenda for the week. Keep a list of tasks you need to do in the order they should be done.

Focus on one task at a time – Keep your focus on one task at a time. This will help you get things done faster and make it less stressful on yourself.

Get enough sleep – Getting enough sleep at night will help you feel refreshed and ready to start the day. It will also ensure that you have enough energy to take on your tasks for the day.

Take care of yourself – Having a busy life can make it hard to relax and spend time with family and friends. Don’t put pressure on yourself to please everyone. Take time for yourself if you need to, you can also relax while spending time with your loved ones.

Reduce screen time – Whether its television, internet browsing, or video games, screen time can quickly take over your time and reduce the amount of productivity you are able to do. Try to cut down your screen time to 30 minutes to one hour a day.

Take a break between tasks – Going from task to task can become tiring and may make it difficult for you to appreciate and stay motivated on what you are working on. Having a little down time between tasks can help clear your head and get you ready to complete your next task effectively. Try taking a quick walk outside in the fresh air.

Utilize your free time – Make the most of your free time when you have it. Spend time with loved ones or do the activities you enjoy that you may not be able to do that often. Relax and clear your mind.

Eliminate non-essential tasks – Identify the tasks that don’t need to be on your agenda and remove them. Become more aware of what tasks are really significant. This will help shorten your to do list, lessen your stress load, and free up some of your time.

Enjoy what you do – With a busy life, it can be difficult to always enjoy the tasks that need to be done. Try to think of ways that you can enjoy the tasks you need to do on a daily basis. Enjoying what we do will ultimately make them easier to complete. Think of the tasks positively and as stepping stones to bigger and better things.

Knowing how to manage your time effectively will ultimately make your life easier and run more smoothly. Keep your priorities in mind when planning out what you should be doing at what time, this will help make sure that you get the most important things done as soon as possible.
